Singapore is a melting pot of cuisines from around the world, and no doubt, eating is considered a hobby for a lot of Singaporeans. As a true born Singaporean, my kitchen is always filled with quality Chinese, Malay, Indian, Japanese, Thai, Italian, French, American, etc. foodstuffs.
I only started to learn cooking when I first came to Paris because Singaporeans hardly cook at home due to the huge supply of economical and delicious food made possible by the existence of hawker centres and foodcourts. Also, of course, I miss food from home, and the only way I can eat what I miss in its original flavour is to make an effort to learn it the right way.
Here, you will see some of the food I have whipped up in my kitchen.
