Top Down: Rome

Rome is a city and special comune ("Roma Capitale") in Italy. Rome is the capital of Italy and the capital of Lazio (Latin: Latium). With 2.8 million residents in 1,285.3 km2 (496.3 sq mi), it is also the country's largest and most populated comune and fourth-most populous city in the European Union by population within city limits. Between 3.2 and 3.8 million people live in the Rome urban and metropolitan area. The city is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, on the Tiber River within the Lazio region of Italy. Rome is referred to as "The Eternal City", a notion expressed by ancient Roman poets and writers.

Venue: The skies of Vienna to Munich (assuming that flight info updates were accurate at the time when these pics were taken).

It's hard to imagine that you will fall through with this kind of "cushioning".

Dubai looks rich.



A lagoon to protect coast erosion, but I was trying to catch the world's famous 7-star hotel, Burj Al Arab.

Top-Down: Karachi, Pakistan

Karachi is the largest city, main seaport and the main financial centre of Pakistan, as well as the capital of the province of Sindh. It is the most populous city in the country, one of the world's largest cities in terms of population and also the 10th largest urban agglomeration in the world.

After some reading up, I think this is the western region of Karachi - the hilly region, on the coast of the Arabian Sea.


The view was magnificent.



I don't know whether it is the clouds or the region is so sandy that we could practically "see" it in the air.

I did my online check-in too late. All the aisle seats were taken and the computer system allocated me to a window seat which I decided to make full use of my "strategic position" during my flight.

Cloulds are amazing creations. I wish I can read them well. I can only remember "cirrus" and "cumilonimbus" from my lower secondary geography lessons. I should make a mental note to read them up one of these days.
