London #4

Last evening in U.K. happened to be the finals for EuroCup 2012 too. All of us went to this nice little bar in the village to catch the game. I'm not a football fan myself, I was going just for fun of it. However, I was supporting Spain than Italy and I am glad that they done such a beautiful job!

I like English Cyder.

The village.

Outside the bar.

Playing with iphone cam while waiting for the taxi to bring us back to the hotel.

London #3

Bigbigbig boss invited the whole corporation to his house for this year Summer party and I was totally captivated by everything I saw there - A child's paradise. He has endless rolling, green fields to run about, horse riding (the family has 2 horses - 1 of them being a white one!!), clay pigeon shooting (my first time holding and shooting with a rifle), a swimming pool, playground with swings, a jumping castle, a real-size doll house, etc.

I can imagine myself, the little girl bringing some of my fav storybooks, reading them in a tent out in the field. Haha!

Part of the vast landscape.

Recoiling power from a rifle hurts but it was fun!

The dream kitchen

They named this, "Tropical Eton Mess" and I love this the most among everything on the food table. It has mango purée with some dash of meringue. I had 5 of them that day. =p

This plaything is vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv tiring!!

London #2

UrbanOutfitters at Oxford Street is huge.

All the vintage you can imagine at the flea market.

Playing around with the hats & accessories in a really cute store while waiting for others.

Went to catch the famous Billy Elliot musical performance in the evening and a good way to rest our feet after a long day of walking. It was fantastic & impressional.

At Victoria Palace for the musical to start.

Performing arts in Europe are really of high calibre.

Dinner at Mango tree after the musical, recommended by our london colleagues who brought us there! It was really good and the staff were mostly Asians too.

Pad Thai.

Pranked by colleagues. They saw a number of people celebrating their birthdays in the restaurant & decided to tell the staff secretly that it was my b'day (which is another 6 mths away!!) and after that they tried to convince me that it was my half b'day.....................

Mango sticky rice.

Sidenote: London restaurants and pubs close really early at midnight, even during weekends. However, they sop selling beverages (coffee & tea) at 5pm and only sell alcohol from there. Seeing drunkards or people high on alcohol, singing and shouting on the streets are apparently a very common sight... Also, I've reached the conclusion that all metro stations in Europe reek of pee and not all lines are functioning. They have all kind of reasons (or excuses for the breakdown or stoppage).

London #1

I'm back from London! This country is really not lucky when it comes to weather but I still think it is a good place for a weekend getaway from time to time. I enjoyed my trip with some great company!!

We were staying in a proper apartment with a fully equipped kitchen located in Convent Gardens, which seems like an excellent neighbourhood. We had one of our best dinner there - Indian food. I didn't eat any English food during the whole trip. We went Thai, Chinese, Indian, etc. but just not English food. =p

We travelled to London on Friday straight after work and this is the next morning when we were all ready to explore London city!

The English brighten up their city with red telephone booths, red buses and their red postboxes.
